Back to School with Purpose: Measure Up 4 Kids Returns This August

Summer has begun, and the Fort Bend Women’s Center is already preparing to make a big impact when the school bells ring again this fall.

Measure Up 4 Kids, our annual back-to-school campaign, is coming up this August. This powerful initiative ensures that children affected by domestic violence have the support, supplies, and stability they need to succeed in school—and in life.

For the children in Fort Bend Women’s Center's programs, the excitement of a new school year is often clouded by uncertainty. Many have experienced trauma, fled unsafe homes, or are living in temporary situations with limited resources. Measure Up 4 Kids helps change that—by providing everything from school supplies and tutoring to emotional healing through play.

Why It Matters
Often called the “silent victims” of domestic abuse, children are deeply impacted by what they’ve lived through. Without intervention, they’re more likely to struggle with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. That’s why FBWC’s youth programming is so critical—it creates a safe, healthy environment where children can grow, learn, and feel like kids again.

With your early support, Fort Bend Women’s Center can ensure no child in their care starts the school year at a disadvantage.

Help Us Get Ready
Measure Up 4 Kids officially launches in August, but donations and sponsorships are welcomed now to help meet growing needs. Whether you give monthly, make a one-time gift, or contribute in honor of someone special, your support helps build a brighter future for these children.
