Children's and Youth Services for Survivors in Fort Bend County
How We Help Children Heal After Abuse
We also help children grow respect for others and understand what healthy relationships look like. Through purpose-driven activity groups, children of all ages find hope, safety, connection, and education in a warm, supportive environment. Our goal is simple: to help every child move toward a future without violence.
PlayCare: Childcare and Mentoring at Our Shelter and Rio Bend
Healing takes time, and parents need space to focus on their own recovery. Our Child Mentors are based at Rio Bend and the Emergency Shelter, where PlayCare gives younger children a safe, caring place to be while survivor-parents work on rebuilding their lives.
Our Child Mentor staff also support a child's everyday needs. They provide homework help and school supplies when needed, assist with school transportation arrangements, and, with a parent's consent, can attend school meetings to discuss a child's special needs. This practical, steady support helps children stay grounded while their family finds stability.
If you are a parent seeking support for your child, we are here to help. You can reach our advocates any time at (281) 342-HELP (4357). Every conversation is free and confidential.
