Life Insurance Policy to Support Survivors

When you donate life insurance to charity, you can turn a policy you no longer need into safety, healing, and hope for survivors. A gift of life insurance is an excellent way to support the mission of Fort Bend Women's Center.

Why Give a Life Insurance Policy?

You may have a paid-up life insurance policy that has outlasted its original purpose. For example, you may have bought a policy to provide for young children who are now financially independent adults, so the policy is no longer needed as it once was.

That policy can become a meaningful gift that helps survivors and their children for years to come.

Benefit of donating your life insurance policy

  •  Receive a charitable income tax deduction
  •  If FBWC cashes in the policy immediately, you will be able to see your dollars at work supporting our mission.
  •  If we hold the policy to maturity, or you name us as a beneficiary, once the policy matures, the proceeds will be paid to our organization to further our mission.

Because every financial situation is different, we encourage you to speak with your own insurance provider or tax advisor before you give.

How to make a life insurance gift

To make a gift of life insurance, contact your life insurance provider and request a beneficiary designation form. Name Fort Bend Women's Center as a beneficiary of your policy.

Please also notify us that you have named us as a beneficiary, so we can plan ahead and thank you for your generosity.
