FBWC acheives MVP Status!

FBWC is thrilled to announce the addition of the MVP’s Gender Violence and Prevention Education and Training to its Primary Prevention Program.  The MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention) model is an approach to gender violence and bullying prevention designed to train male and female, college and high school student-athletes and other student leaders to use their status to speak out against rape, dating violence, gay-bashing, sexual harassment, bullying, and all forms of violence and abusive behavior.  Through highly interactive, facilitated discussions, the MVP model utilizes a creative “bystander” approach to gender violence and bullying prevention.  If you would like more information about the MVP program or would like to become an MVP, contact Amber Paaso at apaaso@fortbendwomenscenter.org or call 281-344-5759.
