Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2018 – Stand with Survivors

Join us as we stand with survivors of sexual assault this April. As part of our annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign, we have a range of special events to help you show your support for survivors and learn more about the impact of sexual violence on its victims.

‘What were you wearing’ touring exhibition

This art installation recreates the outfits worn by survivors of sexual assault in our community. Each mannequin represents the clothing the victim was wearing during his or her attack, accompanied by the story of their attack in the victim’s own words. This exhibition aims to challenge victim blaming – it’s time to stop asking what someone was wearing when they were attacked.

2-6 April: Fort Bend Women’s Center Pennywise Resale Store, 501 Highway 90A East, Richmond, TX 77406 – www.fbwc.org/pennywise for directions and opening hours

9-13 April : Texas State Technical College, 26706 Southwest Freeway, Rosenberg, TX 77471

16-20 April : Wharton Community College, 5333 FM 1640, Richmond, TX 77469
